Tyler Perry Wishes Pal Janet Jackson 'All the Best' With Her Pregnancy
He can't wait! Tyler Perry sent his best wishes to his close friend Janet Jackson, who is pregnant with her first child with husband Wissam Al Mana, during a new interview on Friday, October 14.
"[I'm] looking forward to it," the 47-year-old filmmaker told Entertainment Tonight. "She's just always been so extremely private and is laying low, and I just wish her all the best. I'm excited for her, because I know what that means."
Jackson — who starred in Perry's filmsWhy Did I Get Married? and Why Did I Get Married Too? — officially confirmed her pregnancy earlier this week.
"There's nothing people can tell you to prepare for it," Perry continued. "It is what it is. I think that is going to give her a sense of fulfillment that she's never had before."
Us Weekly previously reported in May that the 50-year-old music icon and her billionaire Qatari husband, 41, were expecting, one month after she announced she was postponing herUnbreakable World Tour to start a family.
Jackson recently made a rare appearance while shopping for baby furniture in London on September 27. An eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight that the mom-to-be, who covered up her baby bump in a black sweater and sweatpants, arrived with her bodyguard, an assistant and two friends.
The "Control" singer's brother Jermaine Jackson told Us Weekly in May that he's excited for his baby sister to finally become a mom.
"She'll be a great mother because she is very tough, very strict," the former Jackson 5 singer, who has nine children, said. "I tell her, 'If you need any parenting skills or any baby skills, let me know, because I'm the best diaper changer there is on this planet, still to this day.'"
